Chosen Solution Recently I dropped my I phone 5s at work in a bit of primer paint. I took it out and wiped it off. But my it got in my speakers and now I assume the paint has hardened up in there. How can I get it out because i can’t really hear sound in my speakers like I used to. Please help The phone would need to be taken apart to get that paint out from the speaker grill or replace the speaker and speaker grill all together....
Chosen Solution When I turn my TV on it has no picture only the sound works. Can it be fixed and how? @tlortiz this could be related to a bad main logic board, power board or the backlight LED driver boards. First test you want to do is to shine a flashlight at an angle (TV on and at a known good station) See if you can make out shadows, that would mean that your backlight does not come on....
Chosen Solution it was raining hard and i forgot to close the window where my sony 4k lcd tv was placed..we were watching a movie when i suddenly noticed two vertical straight lines on the screen.i immediately turned it off,put a fan at the back of the tv where it got wet..i turned it on again but the line was still there..went to sony store and the staff said i should probably replace the entire lcd ....
Chosen Solution My washer won’t move in to rinse cycle. It’s spins and drains water out so don’t think it’s door lock. It makes a humming sound but won’t put water back in machine to rinse?? Does the rinse cycle work when you select warm/warm on the water temperature control? If so, you are not getting cold water into the washer. First, check to make sure both the cold and hot faucets are turned on at the wall....
Chosen Solution My iMac died (logic board and screen and I’m not interested in paying Apple $1000 in repairs) for a 5-year old machine. I have one (large) folder that’s not backed up properly and I would like to get my data off it. The trick is it’s on a filevault encrypted fusion drive. I know the easiest ways to get the data (replacing the logic board for $350 and booting into target disk mode, or replacing the screen as well for another $180)....
Chosen Solution So the two golden pins you mention on step 7 on removing the network card, came off of the the wires that are labeled 1 and 2. To put them back in place into the pins do I put some glue or do I pinch the pins onto the wire? Hi @hpbrian , The pins are actually co-axial cable connectors which connect the 2 wires (signal wire and shield) in each of the cables to the connector on the WLAN card....
Chosen Solution I received a new display and battery for my iPhone 8plus from the iFixit store and installed both yesterday.I am really happy about the display but I do have an issue with the battery:I am unable to calibrate it, because after recharging it to 100% and letting it drain, the phone turned itself off at 50%.I connected it back on charge and it showed 50% battery.I tried again, and again at 50% the phone turned off, but this time restart it showed a 14% battery charge, although usage shows 50% Don’t really know how to make it work....

Chosen Solution Hi guys, I have recently acquired a 2017 21.5” iMac which is dead. Only 1 of the diagnostic LEDs are on, so I changed the PSU and it’s still the same. I have disconnected all (but the PSU connections, tried an SMC reset, drained all the power and took the Logic Board out and gave it a visual inspection but now I’ve ran out of ideas. I assume it’s likely a board level repair but I was just wondering if any of you gurus on here have any ideas, or obvious solutions?...
Chosen Solution I purchased the tablet I month ago today and I cant get the volumn to work. I can only hear it if I use earplugs. Can I return this one and get a replacement.? I would reach out to the store an attempt a return, if not possible open the tablet and ensure there are not loose cables or damage to the speaker unit.

Chosen Solution I actually have solo pros but couldn’t find it in the device selection so I did the closest thing if I plug it in it has a flashing white light that won’t go away no matter how long I leave it How long have you left your headphones charging for? Often times if a device has not been used for a while, the battery can go below the recommended discharge voltage and not turn back on....
Chosen Solution It has a small black piece that fell from my Dualshock 3 and after that he never worked right. Where does it fit? It might be the reset button that attaches in the rear cover near the l1 and l2 opening

I dropped my new PC and the hard drive broke so i swapped it with the one in the old laptop to avoid having to buy windows....
Chosen Solution Hi I have a Sansa clip plus 4gb. No idea what happened but one day I plugged into my laptop and my player restarted and stuck in refreshing media mode. I held the player to turn it off hard reset and no matter what its still stuck in the refreshing media mode.. Appreciate any advise at all as it’s now as good as a junk of plastic =(...
Chosen Solution Replaced a swollen battery with iFixit’s kit. Was (and continue to be) delighted by the experience. After a little over two weeks of good functionality, the watch no longer charges past 3-4%. It registers once docked, and still communicates with the iPhone — but is no longer a practical device. Any advice? Concidering that the battery was working for a while after the installation, there may be a defect with the battery....
Chosen Solution Yesterday, some coffee spilled into a tray in which my iphone6 was placed. The power button was inoperable when pressed, ie physically/mechanically , but began acting like it was being pressed sporadically (so I could not fully turn it off because if I turned it off via accessibility setting it would turn right back on). The frequency of the “pressing” increased as the day went on (again, not physically, just electronically)....
Chosen Solution Hi - my batter was running down very quickly and chargers I kept buying stopped working. I replaced the battery but the battery is still draining quickly with the new batter, and I’m getting the message ‘service batter’, and also another charger has died. So this isn’t an issue with the battery itself as I replaced it. What could it be? Logic board? I’m going to take it into the apple store this wee but thought I would ask to see if anyone else had the same issue....
Chosen Solution the pickup wheel does not move when the printer is calling for another sheet of paper and then the load paper light comes on to load paper?? it appears like a gear is not engaging. How do I open the printer to fix this issue? I used to work for hp, but been out of that business long enough that I never saw the insides of the Photosmart printers… you can start here to get hp’s basic instructions… if that video doesn’t help, try looking at a similar problem on a C310a… hope this helps
