20” iMac 2.66 Ghz 2GB & 320 GB HDD How can I fix overheating in my 20” iMac desktop? When I switch the unit on I get the initial sound, the screen lights up and then I get a folder with a flashing question mark in it. thanks for your help
This is initially not an overheating problem, it hasn’t had enough time to heat up. Your machine cannot find a valid startup folder. Probable failed hard drive or corrupted system. If you still have it, insert your original system installation disk and hold down the C key while booting. Go to the second screen of the installation. The pull down menu will appear.
