Ps4 pro overheated and shut down (no red light of death) but then wouldnt turn back on. I heard a loud noise just before shut down but until that point i had noticed the fan was not speeding up and just staying at idle. After leaving the consol overnight unplugged from all cables i was able to turn it back on with the top cover off. I played Apex legends for over an hour and the fan never left idle despite i was getting temps of 120°F near the power supply. Is the fan broken or is there something on the motherboard that isnt working?

Hi @jolson91 if it’s still under the warranty, visit local service place or shop, where you bought your console and ask them for the refund or repair. If it’s not under the warranty, I’m suggesting you open PS4 and clean it up. There may be a lot of dust and dirt. If you will cleaning the MB, check also the fan. If the fan is full of dust, they will not cool your console enough! Use PlayStation 4 Pro Repair to see, how to “open” your console.
