I have a second hand 30 inch Cinema Display HD that has an orange tint over the whole screen and generally not high in brightness. I’ve cracked the display open but can’t see anything obviously wrong. Could do with some help. Any suggestions welcome.
The orange tint and dim display tells me your CCFL’s have failed, over time they breakdown. Finding the correct CCFL lamps is going to be very hard as they have long since stopped being made as they used mercury vapor. The power supply and inverter caps are also likely getting old as well. I think it’s time to look at getting a new display.
