I installed a new disc drive into my ps4 and every thing worked fine untill I switched the drive board and now the disc drive won’t spin the discs anymore. It just makes a clicking sound and won’t recognize any disc. I noticed when I move the big ribbon cabble a little bit that the disc starts spinning for a moment, but stops right after. What can I do now?

Most likely when you removed that large flat ribbon cable the ears were damaged or torn off. This causes the ribbon cable to not align correctly when you put it back in. Many times the little ears get stuck inside the connector which will make it very difficult to plug the cable in completely. You might try a new cable as long as those ears aren’t stuck inside the connector. Hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for your support. I bought a new ribbon cable and it changed nothing. I don’t understand why it won’t work. Everything seems to work fine.
