I was trying to open my phone to replace the battery, but when I opened it, the cable connecting the home screen to the phone was so short I couldn’t reach anything in. reluctantly, I was able to peel the home screen button from the screen on the inside, but when I got a good look inside, it doesn’t look anything like the diagram shows. I think there was an extra layer that was supposed to lift with the screen but instead, I separated them, and now I don’t know what to do. I can’t lift the layer that is on top of the battery, and I don’t want to break something. Edit: I tried putting the screen back on and turning it on and now the screen is totally jacked up.
Yep, you pulled the screen off the frame. Try to pull the frame off the phone as well.
