Battery says 66% but tablet only works if plugged in what’s wrong

Hi, The battery may be failing to hold its’ charge and needs to be replaced. Even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan. Here’s a link to the ifixit Ematic Tablet Repair guides. Hopefully your model is amongst those listed. All of them show how to at least open the tablet so that access to the battery is possible. Most, but not all of the guides also show how to remove the battery. Replacement batteries may possibly be available online. Just search for Ematic (insert model number) battery to get results for suppliers.

The battery is most likely defective. Had the same problem. Return it and get ur money back if you can. I had past the 90 days for return and had to return to Ematic. It has been a year and still haven’t received replacement or refund. Their customer service is horrendous, they don’t do anything and don’t know anything. Get your money back if you can. Thank s company is shady to say the least.

I also had the same problem with my ematic mp3 player. it would say fully charged, but wouldnt work unless it was plugged in. You might want to order a new battery, or return it.
