I’m having a similar issue with my top loading GE GUD27ESPM1DG. It clicks to lock the lid when starting the wash cycle and only locks when I press on the lid near the lock/sensor. I troubleshot and got a “critical lid lock failure” code. Replacing the lid lock switch didn’t fix the problem. Am I right to change the sensor next?
Hi @odisbrad Perhaps check the continuity of the wiring from the lid lock terminals 4 & 5 back to the Control board connector J513 terminals 1& 2 as these appear to be the wires that indicate that the lock is operated. Here’s an image from the mini manual for the laundry centre that shows the lid lock wiring, that may help. Wires on 2 & 3 of the lid lock are the operate wires, 4 & 5 presumably are for the lock verification
