I was wondering if the oneplus one Qualcom chipset could be removed from the motherboard and replaced with another manufacturer chipset. I know that is it likely laminated to the board. Is it still possible to remove the chip? Even with moderate difficultly. Also I was wondering if anyone had the pin outs for the chip? I love the phone but could really use another chipset as I don’t want to run an external wifi via the USB.
As you can see in this link the Wifi chip is rather small. I would call difficult to extremely difficult to solder of the chip and change it.
