So I’m very new to phone repair and my sister broke her phone and I decided to try and fix it, especially during while all my repair stores near me are closed. So as I was opening it up I saw this: https://imgur.com/C4ADP0K . I didn’t notice it until I put the phone back together and there was some major bug-iness going on with the display
hey…ive done that lol….part of it. take away is always align and never force. as far as the connector is concerned, just looks like the side housing is busted (cant really tell in the image) if so, no worries realign and the connection should be good. if they are bent sockets, probably will lift off or take a pad when trying to straighten them out. probably best just to replace the socket on the board. make sure you inspect the ribbon from the screen for bent pins. those you can straighten out ever so gently and be ok. theyll probably brake off (just part of it, sometimes you get lucky though) in this case youll need to replace the screen again or whatever it was connected to.
