Linda Jones, could be but that is uncommon. Make sure that you have good batteries and that the contacts are not corroded etc. If those are okay, I would suggest to take the camera apart and take a look at the connectors and the logic board itself. there are usually power fuses on the board. You’ll need a multimeter to work on those.
