Repairing my G4, but I notice the midframe provided by iFixit is missing the antenna P1A 0415. Can anyone identify what this is for and if I need to worry about it or not? Update (10/24/2016) I’m going to guess this is an issue, the phone worked but the screen went black when the call connected and there was no way to hangup…. Update (10/24/2016) OK, the screen blanking is happening with either midframe… so I am now confused…. looks like the proximity sensor is not working.
Chances are that it might not be labeled but present. you should try and assemble the phone and see if everything functions. Try your Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC. to check your cellular signal strength you can check in Settings —-> System—–> About Device—-> Status. The lower the number the better. (Example would be -68 dBm) if anything fails to work then i would request a new one.
