Hello, a similar situation to the one described here : Microphone could be damaged? but with the samsung note 9. A sim pick tool was introduced into the microphone hole by mistake. Consequences? On the mic? On the waterproofness? Is the physical arrangement the same as for s7 edge (in the example above) ? Thank you.
As long as you didn’t go too far the mic should be fine, but the IP rating would technically probably drop.
I poked both the mic and another hole near the sim slot by mistake. All seems to be wrong. Could there be any damage to the one near the sim slot. And what is it for. Can I help?
I have heard that no harm will come to the mic. Worst case you have pushed into the rubber seal.
