hello, my note 10 fell down but everything was alright until the battery run out and i plugged it in and i got the msg “Your phone’s temperature is too low. Charging will continue when the temperature returns to normal" the phone still works fine while plugged in but wont charge past 1% i already checked the wireless charging card in the back and it seems ok

There seems to be a problem with the wireless assembly’s contact to the mother board which has a temp sensor attached. Give your phone a gentle press on the back just under the camera and a little bit to the right. This is just a temporary fix as the wireless charger will probably lose contact again. Hope this helps.

The temperature sensor is still attached to the wireless charging coil so that will need replacing. But from what I’ve heard from other repair shops, they have a hard time finding that coil. And be careful with the connector. In this series of phone, they switched to a physical connector and in some cases, techs have damaged the connector, either on the board or just the coil itself.

It’s my understanding that this is a pretty widespread issue with the Note 10 and the Note 10 plus. I’ve attempted to address this issue with several customers and here’s what I’ve learned… The connector that attaches the NFC coil to the motherboard breaks connection with the motherboard. This is something that will need to be handled by a shop that performs microsoldering. It is still possible that this issue is caused by a faulty thermistor on the wireless charging coil, but in my experience (five devices all with the same outcome), it has always been a motherboard issue. I would like to see Samsung step forward and address this issue, as it seems to affect a large enough percentage of these devices.

Turn phone completely off. Remove sd and at&t cards. I left my off for about 20 minutes, while I put the cards in my old phone. I plugged in the phone that wouldn’t charge. Bam!! Started charging again. I do not know if this is a temporary fix, but as of now it charged to a full battery. The phone is a galaxy note 10 plus.

Pressing on the back of the phone about 3/4" down from the bottom of the camera and over to the right 1/4" did the trick. It takes about 1.5lbs-2lbs of pressure. You can look at your phone while pressing it and apply pressure until you see charging icon turn on. TY for this tip, it has saved me some dinero!:)

oh my god for anyone who has this issue please try the &&^&^$^ pressure trick on the wireless coil actually &&^&^$^ works i hate samsung please never buy any samsung product buy android or ios idc &&^& this stupid &&^&^$^ company :skull:

So I had the exact same issue (Note 10+) but to make it worse, my wireless charging coil got damaged at the connection point with the motherboard. I was just about ready to give up and dispose the phone in spare parts since I couldn’t charge it anyway then a random encounter with a phone repair tech revealed that there’s a hardware workaround. Apparently they solder a single diode on the wireless charging coil terminal and that’s it. Problem solved. Sure I won’t be using the wireless charging forever but at least I’ll be able to charge the phone conventionally without any issues. If you didn’t notice, even the camera flash doesn’t work with a faulty wireless assembly. This diode fixes all that. Don’t know how, not going to ask how so don’t ask me how. It simply works. Hope this helps.

After ordering multiple replacement coils off eBay and swapping them, I found that the coil itself was not the issue. The most common issue is with the connector on the motherboard (I believe it’s referred to as the NFC FPC connector). There are videos of specialists microsoldering a new connector on the Note on YouTube to fix the problem (VCC repairs IIRC). The reason pushing on the spot below the camera works is because you’re forcing a good contact between the coil cable and the connector and the connector and the motherboard. I saw on eBay there are people offering to replace and resolder the connector for around $60. But I tried something given my new understanding of the issue that seems to have completely fixed this (for now at least). If it comes back, I’ll just pay the $60. Here’s what I did: -follow the ifixit guide to replace the coil. -But don’t actually replace it -Just unscrew the metal plate and fold it back -Then, cut some cardstock the size of the connector and place it on top of the coil cable that is plugged into the connector -Rescrew the metal plate -The metal plate with cardstock between it and the cable/connector should now be applying consistent downward pressure on the spot to ensure good contact -before you replace the back cover, plug it in and see that it charges. You can also test wireless charging since that seems more sensitive to a good connection. -If all is good, close up the phone and you’re done. If not, maybe add another piece of cardstock in between to increase the pressure. Hope this helps others!
