Chosen Solution
Hi guys, to my problem: I have read looots of threads or fixes, or solutions regarding the not working proximity sensor and i know that there are so much topics/threads about it but im still searching for the right solution. So - right now im using a sensor cable which i replaced myself, everything except the proximity sensor does work. (I still use the original screen) I have tried 6 different cables including the original stock one on my phone. And i also tried to fit the sensor the best as possible everytime and ofc with the small plastic bracket where its placed on the stock screen. On 3 cables including the one im using right now, everything except the proximity sensor works. Then i have 2 cables where nothing really works and the earpiece is some kind of overheating And then there is one cable where the proximity sensor is working fine when i cover the sensor with my hand or my ear but the rest like speaker, camera etc doesnt work. Since i used so many cables i dont think its a cable issue or a connecting port issue or am i wrong? I would appreciate any help or knowledge i can get here. Thanks in advance!
First, what problem were you experiencing first that led up to you doing any repairs? Next, I would guess that you are either 1. using used cables where something is wrong with 1 or more and hard to diagnose without a known good cable. Can you try the cables in another phone to definitively be working with a known good cable where camera, ear piece, prox all work. 2. one of the caps, filters have been knocked loose a bit and the pressure of putting on the FPC is giving you an intermittent connection or disconnection. I would begin with finding a known good cable and test it. then check the row of Caps and filters surrounding the FPC connector to make sure they are not loose or disconnected from their pads. Check continuity on all the pins and then take a reading of (Diode mode) on the pins and check 1.8 and 3v voltage on the prox rail… (Pins 23 AND 25) on ZXW
Post back what you find and will go from there :)
