My MacBook is not going beyond the logo and progress bar on startup. Am I looking at replacing the battery or the SSD?
I would restart the system holding the D key to get to the onboard diagnostics to see if something comes up. If that works, I would then do the Command R to get into the recovery petition to repair the drive. Reference: Startup key combinations for Mac
