Hi, I followed this link - - - > MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2014 Battery Replacement I have all the tools and an anti static mat but after going through this 3 times my Mac will not boot. I get an amber light on the Magsafe charger, if I SMC reset the light goes to green but the Mac simply will not start. No fans no display , nothing. Any ideas please?
Remove both the battery and the chargerPress and hold the power button for 10 secondsRe-connect the charger while holding the power button, keep holding the power button for 10 more secondsRe-connect the battery, try powering up your computer if it has not done so itself already. This worked for my friend when he got no power after a battery replacement on his MBP. Hopefully this works for you too.
