The grinder will grind some of the beans then is makes a loud noise, and a large amount of nearly whole beans is dumped in the filter. Very expensive machine to be faced with such problems !! HELP!

If your grinder is making an exceptionally loud noise when engaged and no coffee is coming out there may be a couple of reasons for this. There may be a foreign object in the grinder such as an overly hard bean or a stone.Remove the bean hopper.Open the swing-out door.Unplug the coffee maker.Clean out around the upper burr and remove it.Using the small grinder cleaning brush, brush out anything that may be around the lower burr.Using the same small grinder cleaning brush, brush out anything that may be around the grinder chute opening.Close the swing-out door.Empty the bean hopper into a container and ensure that there are no foreign items blocking the holes along the bottom.Replace the bean hopper.Refill with the beans.Plug the unit back in and try grinding again. There may have been water in the grinder. If no foreign objects are found, water may have gotten into the grinder and is clogging it.Remove the bean hopper.Open the swing-out door.Unplug the coffee maker.Clean out around the upper burr and remove it.Using the small grinder cleaning brush, brush out anything that may be around the lower burr.Using the same small grinder cleaning brush, brush out anything that may be around the grinder chute opening. If any moisture is detected, either on the brush, on the burrs or in the grinds that were removed, drying will need to take place.Empty the bean hopper, and set it to the side, upside down, and turn the hopper lock to the locked position.Set the upper burr to the side on a cloth or paper towel.Leave the swing-out door open.Allow the machine to air dry for 24 hours.Reassemble, add in the beans, and try grinding again.
