I have an Iphone 6 plus, it just stop charging and is not detected by computer, put new fully charged battery (it turns on but is not charging and not detected by pc) try new charger cable, new ac adapter, even new charging port. nothing working please help.
easiest indication of bad chip is to disconnect battery. then connect charging cable via mains power to charging port and see if Apple logo appears . if it does then its ok, if not then indicates bad chip
my iphone SE charging through wall mounted charger point but not through my mac book USB port. When same lightning cable connect to my other IP6S through same mac book port it got charging even same USB port too. Could anybody help me on this regard. thanks in advance. Abu M
I would look into the U2 iC chip on the board! Known good battery + Powers on = Good power management chip No Computer recognition or power through known good port = U2 iC. Hope this helps!
Hey, Have you tried cleaning your charging port? When the cable is plugged in, it should be flush with the phone. If it’s not flush, that’s where your issue is. If not look at the “U2 iC chip” like @jmicks22 stated. Hope this helps
Make sure you are using the original charger and USB cable that came with your phone when charging your device. Try plugging the charger to a different power source and see if the issue still occurs. You should also try to use a different USB cord and wall charger to see if the charger is causing the problem. It sounds like you have an issue with your charging cable. I would try finding someone that you can try theirs, or go to a store that sells iPhones and ask them if you can try their cable to test it out and narrow down the problem. Obviously, if the problem still persists with a different cable, then it’s the phone that’s the problem. I have a feeling it’s most likely the cable. Good luck.Truth be told, I never charge my iP6 via USB. I carry a spare charger in my briefcase if I need to charge at work and when at home, I charge via wall charger only.
The issue, most likely, is a bad tristar ic. If you replace this chip it should work just fine.
