Controller does not charge at all, ps5 recognizes while it’s plugged only. There’s a pending update I cannot due to low battery. I’ve tried different cords, back port, reset, deleted accesory, ps5 rebuilt database, update software with pc firmware. Playstation support agent said buy another one. Since out of warranty I opened and unplugged battery and reconnected, no changes at all. Any other idea or suggestions?? (My other controllers connect and charge in the additional options that I’ve tried in ruling out what is wrong with this controller.)
Hi Jose, So do you have another DualSense v2 controller besides the one that’s malfunctioning? You mentioned that you’ve unplugged the battery; is it feasible for you to swap in the battery from one of your other controllers to see if the battery is causing your problems? Putting in a known good battery would let you differentiate the problem between the battery itself and the charging circuitry inside the controller. If it works fine with the other battery, then you’re done; you’ll have to locate a replacement, but that should take care of it. If not, then we can work with you to diagnose what else might be going on. Check it out and let us know what you find.
