I’ve been charging my Alcatel 3V since 1:46 last night and its still at 0% I’ve looked up what to do but I’m not getting any answers For some reason the phone is bent too, I keep my phone in my front pocket so it shouldn’t really bend as much as it is, but I’ve also noticed that sometimes it overheats when it charges so assumed it’s something wrong with the battery or the charging port I have also noticed that I have gotten a new charger yesterday, it worked for About 30 minutes then it wouldn’t. For the record it IS charging, but nothing’s going to the battery, it’ll tell me that it’s charging but it won’t go up. I’ve noticed while it’s on it works but it only slows down the rate at which the battery dies Ex. Unplugged; my battery would drop to 70% (from 100%) in around an hour Plugged; my battery would drop to 70% (again, from 100%) in about 2 hours Although it on only rare occasions will charge If you need any more information please let me know Have an amazing day and stay safe during this outbreak ♥️

Hi @h_gxtt , Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to check if there is any lint or other obstructions in the charge port enclosure that may be preventing a good electrical connection. Also check that all the pins are there (5) and that they are straight and parallel with each other and not bent or damaged. If there is anything lodged in there do not use a metal pin or probe to get it out as you may damage the pins or cause an electrical problem in the phone. Use a vacuum cleaner to try and suck it out. If it still won’t budge, try using a sharpened wooden toothpick to gently pry it out. If it appears to be OK then try the following: Plug the charger cable into the phone but leave the other end of the charger cable unplugged. Firmly grab hold of the phone in one hand and then using the other hand, grab the inserted charger plug between the thumb and forefinger and gently, stress gently try to move the plug from side to side and up and down to see if any movement in the socket can be felt. If so the phone will have to be opened and the charge port checked to see if it is loose on the systemboard. If that appears to be OK then I suggest that you replace the battery and check if the problem is still there or not. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to dis-assemble the phone. It is useful as it shows the battery being removed which should be of some help. Replacement batteries are available online. Just search for Alcatel 3V battery to get results for suppliers of the part.

@ todd.bart972 The 5032w has a separate board for the charging port. After opening the back, remove both black plastic covers. Then loosen the tape around the battery and pull the piece of tape with the green tab to remove the battery. Unplug the flex cables. The charging port board is glued down so you will need some heat to remove. Make sure to unhook the antenna and move it out of the way. The charging port boards are nowhere to be found so you’ll need to repair the port.
