Hi. I have an iPhone X, which I believe is waterproof, though I haven’t used it like that. However, recently I dropped it on the sea, just for a few seconds, and since then, it’s not working. The back glass is cracked, so maybe that compromised its waterproofing. The display is working, and when clicking on the power button, it displays the “charge the battery” image, but when I plug it in, it displays the battery icon, then the apple logo, and then it turns back off. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thank you
If it isn’t charging with possible water damage, check for corrosion in the charging port, then battery, then it’s a board problem.
If the port was corroded, the phone wouldn’t react when plugged in, would it?
