Will not boot, screen black, no keyboard function, no startup bong sound when you turn on, only hear optical drive kick in when power turn on. Power adapter light turns from green to amber when power switch is activated.
Sadly, it sounds like you are facing the North Bridge chip failure which was a common issue in this series. The cost of a new logic board and the limitations of this system to run the newer OS’s doesn’t make it economical to repair. Sorry, time for a new system.
