So ive noticed on my personal machine that i cannot click anywhere on the edge of the trackpad i have to click at least 1cm in from the trackpad in order for the force touch to even click, for example i cant even right or left click right in the corner this doesn’t happen on the 13 inch im just wondering if this is normal as most of the time im using a bluetooth mouse.

Check with Apple to see if this is covered under their new program. Keyboard Service Program for MacBook and MacBook Pro https://www.apple.com/support/keyboard-s

I had the same problem. Apple actually changed my trackpad/keyboard 3 times in a row before realising they couldn’t do anything. They then understood it was a broader problem affecting all new 15’macbook pro. They explained to me that the haptic feedback does not cover the whole area of the trackpad. There is no fix.

Compared to the ones I’ve seen in store, the whole trackpad should be clickable? Even if half of your finger is off one side, it should still be able to be clicked? I would definitely try and take it into a store if possible and compare/get them to repair it for you.
