My iPhone XR screen got hit a bit hard by my arm last week by mistake. On the same day of this incident, the screen made a weird loud noise when I swiped up but the problem is that I am not sure if it is the screen or not. But thankfully this noise happened once only. A day after, I became a bit worried if I caused any damage so I began observing the phone. I realized that sometimes the screen makes a noise when I touch it. Sometimes the screen won’t make any noises and is completely fine. The noise is different every time, sometimes it’s like a clicking noise. Could it be from my screen protector? Or is it hardware damage? My screen protector is a bit thick so I am not sure if it coming from that screen protector.

The only thing that could be making noise like that would be the vibrator in the device. Perhaps you knocked it loose or damaged it in a way that is causing it to make these sounds. Does the vibrate function still work normally when using the phone? Are you able to open up the device to see if there are any loose screws or if the taptic engine is properly secured?
