My right speaker is not putting out sound. The left speaker is working but sounds very tinny. I am guessing the subwoofer is not working either as the sound is so thin. I tried replacing right and left speakers and the subwoofer, but everything is the same. The connections all seemed to be secure. I don’t think it is a software issue. I have tried many things including resetting the SMC and PRAM. The problem is the same whether I boot into OS 10.6.8 or OS 11.
The connection of the right speaker is quite tight and tricky. In my experience it can sometimes disconnect when reseating the logic board. All in all, the acoustic performance of this speaker system is lacklustre. It’s a fact. I use Bongiovi DPS system wide audio post-processing software to slightly enhance that poor performance.
