I have a Late 2006 White MacBook. It worked well, although there was an occasional issue where after turning the computer off, I could not get it to turn back on. However, I was able to work around this by disconnecting the battery and MagSafe charger for a day or two, and it would turn back on after reconnecting the power. A few months ago, however, this problem occurred again, but I have not been able to get it to power back on at all. I have taken it apart and cleaned off what seemed to be a little bit of mild corrosion with a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol, reset the SMC via Apple’s website instructions and removed the PRAM battery. The MacBook still has no signs of life. The MagSafe charger shows a green light when plugged in, so the battery is fully charged. Could there be a faulty fuse somewhere that needs to be replaced? Is this simply a logic board failure that can’t be fixed?
