im using a AOC E2270w monitor. two days ago i was playing a game and when switching from windowed mode to fullscreen, the screen goes black and i get a ‘no signal’ on my monitor. i restarted the computer and after the windows boot up it goes black and i get the ‘no signal’ again. i replaced the monitor and it works and tried the problematic monitor on a different computer and it works. im going crazy.

You could try making sure on the machine (tower/laptop) that is having the issue that all the drivers are up to date, and then trying the monitor again. Also if possible trying a different display type if you can. Like going from VGA to HDMI if your machine has multiple display options. Everything may be up to date on the other machine and that is why it is working. Let me know if that works!

Sounds like the operating system is trying to load a resolution that its not supported by your display . Try loading the computer in safe mode and if loads completely see if the resolution is set correctly under your graphic settings. This was happening to me as well during gameplay and under my graphics settings (NVIDIA control panel ) under “adjust desktop color settings” at the very bottom under “content type to the display” I changed from “AUTO” to full screen videos and I was able to play in full screen again with no black screen. Hope it works for you, good luck.
