MacBook pro-2015 won’t power. Client claimed he shut it down and disconnected from power supply night before, but the next morning, he tried to power it on, nothing comes on. Have tried all key sequences, from SMC reset to NVRAM. No power still. Here is what I found on the logic board.

. PS: I’m open to technical solutions. I have little skill using OpenBoard, I have also downloaded the board-view along with a schematic diagram of the system. Thanks Update (08/12/2020) @danj This is how far I can zoom the infected area.

Also, I have reviewed the link but haven’t done any cleaning yet. Update (08/12/2020) @danj Am done with cleaning corroded area. I’m yet to connect to power. Wanted you to have a look before doing anything I will regret later on.

Update (08/14/2020) @danj broken coil I guess

Update (08/14/2020) @danj While checking power rail, I observed PP5V_S3_ALSCAM_F which are the three components I pointed are missing. The logic board is A1502 820-4924. Also, note that this is part of the corroded area. what other diagnosis do you suggest I carry out? Thank you for your help.

At this point you don’t need the schematics or boardview drawings. You need to clean off the spillage and the corrosion it caused. You likely have a messed up keyboard as well as the area you have the stain is underneath it. Ask iFixit: I Spilled Liquid on My Laptop—Now What? Take a tighter picture of the damaged area alone so we can see more clearly the damage. Update (08/14/2020) Here’s a blowup of the area of a known good board (sorry its a bit grainy)

I do see a few areas the traces look thin or damaged. It does look like what ever spilled didn’t do too much damage. Cross your fingers and see if the system responds. Good Luck!
