I went to replace my charging port and my ear speaker. I put it together and I have no service at all. When i take out the sim card tray it says no sim card. I looked at my antenna cables and it looked like the longer cable is damaged I ordered new antenna cables. I was told the antenna cables have to be just right. Or is it possible I could have shorted out a chip? Can someone supply a video on installing antenna cables? Update (09/15/2020) I replaced the charging port board and the 2 antenna cables and my loud speaker and my s8 is working now.
Hi @isaiahjm87 , The cables are for the WiFi/BT signals not for the GSM mobile phone signals. The GSM antenna array is part of the midfame assembly. See Step.5 of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Teardown guide
