Goodday, First let me say that English is not my native language thank you for being patient. And now comes my problem. I have a ps4, that didnt show anything but only a blackscreen. It could boot into safe mode so i did. But when in safe mode it couldn’t do any of the given options. What most of the time means it’s a hdd issue. So i changed the hdd, put a new firmware in it. And now safe mode works, initialized the ps4. And now i get the ps4 logo for 30 seconds, and after that the screen goes black. And the ps4 stays on blinking blue light. For i don’t know how long.(longer then 15min). Does anyone know what this could mean. Cause i can get a display. PS: After i update the firmware with internet trough safe mode. The ps4 blinks for so long without going out. But i think that could be a safety precaution. Normally it shows ps logo for about 30 sec, And after that 2 a 5 min blinking blue light and shuts down.
Sounds like Blue Light of Death which is caused by a faulty APU (Graphics processor chip), if your lucky just loose connection that may be fixable. It’s usually the first launch edition PS4 a batch of them have the same problem (2015). They can be fixed via numerous methods from most common to least common: Adding washers to clamp to increase pressure onto the board.Reflowing the graphics chip with a BGA rework stationReballing the APU, while this is the best note that the APU is sometimes faulty and can’t be fixed.
