I am having an optical drive issue where I replaced everything except the laser and the daughter board since they are paired to the motherboard after that I am getting no power to my optical drive at all it won’t spin it won’t make a noise when i try to press the eject button and i triple checked every cable to make sure they are plugged in and i see no sign of damage on any cables.
Did the old drive had power? If no, it could be the PCB which is broken. Are you sure that you connected the PCB correctly? And is the new drive exactly the same type as the old one?
