I replace the blade SSD, RAM, and 3.5 with a 2.5 SSD. I did a full tear down following the guide by iFixit. I rebuilt the machine I followed the guide in reverse. When I first applied power I got three system beeps. I looked up the beep codes, the RAM that I installed was not seated correctly. When I fix the ram issue, I applied power back to the machine. And nothing! No beeps no fan spinning and no LED diagnostic lights on. I further researched and found that if no diagnostic lights are on then possibly the PSU has gone bad. My question is would it be the PSU or the main logic board? Any and all help is appreciate it.
Boy, you went to the boards here! Altering so much at once makes diagnostic process hard. So we need to reverse some of the alterations to see if we can isolate out the cause. Lets start with the easiest, put back the original RAM did that change anything? Next disconnect the 2.5” SSD (just leaving the blade SSD installed) Did that chance anything? What blade SSD did you install? Did you put in a custom Samsung or OWC SSD or something else?
