I have an old 60 gb PS3, and I am new to electronic repair. I do know a few things and know how to read electronic blue prints. So I’m not completely clueless. My problem is my game system does not get power after the power cord. And I do not get any lights either. I am getting power to the game system and I have checked the power cord using a DMM to verify the cord is good. The other problem is that no one has any guides on how to properly check components and in what order. I don’t want to junk it sense I spent a lot of time gaming on this system. Can someone please help me get a proper guide for this game system so I can fix it. Thank you all for you help.
Hi @fatty60 I suppose you are checking just only the AC section. Had you checked if the power supply has provided dc output?
