My Macbook pro mid 2012 is dead It does not turn on either on charger or battery or both. No fans, no screen flashes, no noise at all. Completely dead. I tried two charger, two battery. Nothing. Battery-unplugging and magsafe unplugging did not work for me. When plugged in, I can see the dim green light on the magsafe connector. If I flip the connector and look from an acute angle, I can see dim orange. I looked up the SMC reset… but duh, the computer won’t turn on at all so these keystrokes do nothing to bring it to life. I did try another DC-in board. It did not help. I found this thread which is quite similar issue. (No power, no charge, no battery indicator. Dim green LED on Magsafe). The guy “zzz” suggested a video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI7rvFLU…. But I can figure out where to solder to wire. Please help if you have any idea or suggestion. Thanks,

A trick similar to the SMC reset that sometimes works as a last resort is unplugging MagSafe, unplugging battery, holding down power button for 15 or so seconds, plugging in battery, and then MagSafe. Did anything in particular happen to the MacBook before this?
