My MBP Retina 13" 2014 A1502 has no audio output device. Only on startup do I get the start up chime, then I have no output from loudspeakers as well as from the headphones jack. What I’ve tried so far: Reset NVRAM, SMC resetFormat and Reinstall of OS X El Capitan 10.11Create new admin userStartup from Safe modeApple diagnostics show no error When sending audio via bluetooth to a wireless speaker works fine, so I think the soundboard is OK. Also the systems loudspeakers seems to be OK, as I can hear the startup chime. Any idea? Thanks!

If there is no red light inside your headphone jack, I would check System Preferences / Sounds / Output to make sure Internal Speakers are selected. If there is a red light inside your headphone jack, it means your Mac thinks an audio plug is inserted. I’ve read of people wiggling a headphone plug or a toothpick inside to reset the internal switch. If the switch itself is damaged, the audio port integrated into the main logic board; and the whole board would need to be replaced. It’s an expensive repair.
