Hi there I bought a new logic board for a phone i got off ebay. I replaced the logic board and initially the audio did not work. After restarting the phone a couple of times, the audio was working. After switching off the phone one night, I woke up and i could not get the audio to work no matter how many times i have restarted or resetted the phone. Plugggin in a earphone works as well as bluetooth. But i just cannot get the on-board speakers and earpiece to work. I have tried removing and putting back all the connectors again but i fear that i might have either blown something or broke somethng. there is no visible damage.
I believe the vibrate motor or taptic engine in the 8 and above are programmed to their specific board. I also know that the ear speaker assembly is tied to FaceID and you lose FaceID functionality if it gets damaged or replaced but I’m not sure about the audio for the ear speaker.
