Hi Everyone! Newbie here… I am having a issue with my Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX655DW1. Works fine on hot cycle but will not run on anything else, warm or cold. The weird thing is the rinse cycle works with cold water on the hot wash cycle. A repairman came out and quickly told me it was control board. Bought a new one and installed but the issue is still occurring. I am getting error code F8 E1. There is SOOOOO much on youtube I am overwhelmed. Replace water inlet valve? Pressure Switch? I am lost and don’t want to pay for someone to come out again, if possible. Money is tight at the moment and I’m already in the hole for a control board and a service call fee. Ugh… Thank you for your help! Greatly appreciated. Alan
Hi @aedwards1982 Here’s the tech sheet for the washer that will help. On p.7 it gives the possible causes for a F8 E1 error code. It details how to test the water inlet valves on p.13 Test #2: valves If it is determined that the cold water inlet valve is faulty the part number is W11168740. Search online using the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
