Hello! i put in a new battery into my iphone 5 (the old one was still working but wouldnt hold long), after replacement of the battery the phone worked fine. but after the first discharge it showed the battery logo with 3 small red stripes, it does recognize the charging cable but it won`t charge even after 12h+ of loading at the charger. i thought maybe the new battery is dead so i installed the old working battery again and had the same problem like the new one. did i break something on the board or is there a fix for this? i did battery repairs on iphones before and never had a problem, so i guess something is wrong here? /are there any schematics so i could measure the current on the board?

I’ve come across this problem in the past and spent many hours seeking solutions. Unfortunately, the best conclusion I could reach, is that something on the logic board was damaged when disconnecting the battery. This implies that you now a defective logic board and shouldn’t expect to find any easier solution that replacing it.
