Hey all Just bought a MacBook Pro 15" early 2011 model with an 825-2850-A model logic board in it. Guy sold it for $300 explaining that the backlight didn’t work and he also included a whole replacement top assembly for it. I installed the new top and still received no backlight, you can still see some of the screen though if you point a bright light behind the apple logo so I know it’s just the backlight. I looked at some guides and found that the backlight fuse may be shorted, although I can’t seem to find it! @airrickd this is only to answer your question about the location of the fuse and not to diagnose your backlight error. The fuse is a 2A 32V 0402 package SMT.
