Hi, the question is pretty eloquent. This tablet came perfectly fine but needed a new SD connector. I replaced it and I don’t know what I messed up but backlight Is gone. Ive tried replacing the backlight connector, I’ve compared multimeter readings across the board with another mb, I can’t pinpoint the issue. The EMMC got pretty hot because I forgot to remove it, also I lost and then resoldered a capacitor near the diode in the other side of the board (I was heating up from the back in that area to install the port since it’s a plastic connector and I burned the first one before I could solder it. The console otherwise works though, so I don’t know if it can be emmc or GPU heat damage. Thoughts? I’m going crazy over it. Tried formatting, hard resetting multiple times, still nothing. I know everything worked before the replacement, I’m starting to fear I burnt some internal vias or something in the Tegra but I would like to esclude any fixable issue first. The solution is in front of me but I can’t see it. Thank you EDIT: I accidentally ruined the backlight circuit by heating it (it looks eerily similar to the backlight circuit of Iphone 6 and 7 with diode, capacitors, chip) so there’s my answer. Probably I’m going to need a donor board to get a new chip.

Do you have pictures of the backlight mechanism?
