Nintendo stated my device needed repair, but due to it being GameStop (whom won’t do anything about it) refurbished, they won’t touch it. Is there any guidance on what may be causeing the problem or how to repair it? I can’t justify the $299 for another Wii U as the Xbox One now costs the same. To clarify, the issue is verified to be the result of a hardware failure. All plausible troubleshooting has been performed. I’m specifically looking for guidance on where I can get the equipment, and what man need to be done, for a DIY hardware repair.
Have you tried plugging the Wii into another HDMI port on the TV and using a different HDMI cable? Hopefully it is a quick fix.
I have no idea how to help you but if you no longer have a warranty then i’d suggest you open it up and mess with $@$* until you know what does what. From there you should look for a cheap seller of a broken one to see if it has all the parts and just swap things out.
