does anyone know where the antenna is on the iPhone 3GS, broke my screen and when i was changing it i took the board and battery out to look it it all, and know im getting no service, any ideas?
you must have disconnected the antenna. its in the upper left corner. see the diagram and the logic board in the teardown. step 11: iPhone 3GS Teardown
hi, in my case both antennas (bottom right und up left) are connected. WLAN is ok, but GSM/UMTS is bad….any idea?
Having the same problem… Any solution yet?
Can anyone advise how to reconnect the antenna? I replaced the battery and now have “no signal” and cannot see how to reconnect the antenna? Is it under location 7 - the “do not remove” paper?
I have the same problem with my 3GS after replacement of the battery, now just goes from Full service to then sometimes NO Service to Searching for service….. I have checked all connectors and even traced with a Multi-meter the contacts between the GSM/ UTMS antenna and everything is fine. Anyone know what the problem could be? There are NO cracks or missing components e.g. RF inductors or other parts missing. Anyone have an idea?
I have this same problem. I’m not sure where those two gold points are supposed to touch. They came out when I pried on up on the bezel too far. Can anyone help?
Taken a look at this. I found this online, but haven’t had time to check it out. http://cybermog.wordpress.com/2010/04/29…
I have the same problem with my iPhone 3gs. The link shared in there is for iPhone 3G. Has anyone fixed No signal issue with 3GS?
there is a little spring thingy on the bottom right, just below the do not remove sign. make sure it’s well connected… it kind of clicks when it’s in place
