Hey mate, a few things to try. If its the USB Music port not working, try a different cable. If it the external devices USB port, try a different cable as well, but also try the the device you wish to use with something else. This will tell us more about your issue. Let us know how you go. Zakk.
Having same problem with mine and the response I got from CA support was to send the DM+ back to exchange for a new unit. Cost is $180
