I’ve recently bought the Japanese orange pikachu N64 and when I turn it on the cheeks flash and then stay on but the console makes no noise and no picture comes through either the rf cable or the rca from my gamecube, any advice?
You most likely need to clean the cartridge slot. If the N64 can’t read the cartridge, it will not display any picture or sound. I usually clean my older cartridge-based Nintendo systems by dipping a qtip in %90 isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and then running the qtip along the connector on any N64 game cartridge. Then repeatedly insert and remove the cartridge from the slot on the system. This will clean off any dust or dirt that has built up inside the slot over the years.
not an expert but try to unplug and plug in the AV or RF cable, if it doesn’t work, get 3rd party cords, happens all the time to me
I know. You slap the bottom hard 2 times. Then you chuck it at the ground. It should work by then. Copyright: how to basic
