Chosen Solution
My hard drive failed and I replaced it with an SSD card. I am now trying to format the drive and am only getting a flashing folder. I have made (I think) a bootable thumb drive but even holding an array of command down at start up, nothing seems to allow me to boot up from that drive. I have a time machine on an external drive also which I will use to populate my SSD once I format the disk. Any help please?
Please test your thumb boot drive on another Mac. Make sure the system is not to high Pre-Installed MacOS:X 10.6.1 (10A2155)Maximum MacOS:X 10.13.x*
