Chosen Solution
I just installed a new ifixit premium replacement screen on an iPhone 6. It was a screen plus digitizer full assembly. The phone started up and operated fine for four hours. Then the screen went black. Phone was still working. Home button still worked. I could shut down and restart the phone by pressing the home and sleep wake buttons. I could shut the phone off by holding the home and sleep wake buttons four seconds. Doing a hard reset didn’t solve. The connectors all look satisfactory, especially the LCD and digitizer. Try the old screen, if it still works. If the old screen works, then you have a failed LCD. This is not common, but since I repair a lot of iPhones, I’ve seen this happen before. Sometimes it happens out of the box and sometimes it can happen months down the road. In your case, it was only 4hrs, but luckily iFixit has a great warranty, so youll be covered.
