Chosen Solution
After installing an iFixit replacement battery, (computer worked perfectly) and draining the battery till under 10%, I tried to plug it in to charge (as per the directions) but my MagSafe isn’t lighting up or charging.
I’ve tried a different outlet, checked the MagSafe with a current tester and everything seems ok….
What do I do now?

Also reset NVram and SMC to no avail.
Sounds like the MagSafe connector has failed MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2013-Mid 2015) MagSafe 2 DC-In Board A common issue is damage caused by a knockoff charger!
