I had to replace the lightning port of an iPhone 8 a few months ago. Everything worked fine until the owner dropped it last week. There is no physical damage on the phone itself and I checked and reconnected the cable leading to the microphones. No sound is coming from the mic, except for a click every 3 or so seconds. Is there anything I could do before replacing the part?

Hi , you can try to see if you have any sound if you plug in the headphones, if you don’t have any sounds most probably you need to replace the lightening port again .

I have the same problem but when I tested via headphones, it seems to be working what is the next thing that can be done to get the iphone mic up and running?
