I just got my new laptop today and after setting it up I realized there was no sound, from both the internal speakers and plugging in earbuds. I looked up guides on the internet, but everything i tried didn’t work. List of things I tried: -Reinstalling drivers -Manually installing drivers -Muting and unmuting the laptop -Checking for driver updates (it said that they were up to date) I did something that made the sound come back for a little bit, but I forgot how I did it, so I guess that rules out speaker malfunction. I do have a pair of headphones that plug in through a USB port and sound comes out of that fine, but I would still like to use my earbuds and the laptop speakers. Thanks for any help!
The onboard DAC may be bad if no amount of drivers fixes it, but a usb one that has a built in DAC does. If it is new, just return it.
